The Algarve has a much quieter pace with its lush green countryside of fig trees, orange groves and almond trees and the southern coastline has many stunning stretches of golden sandy beaches to soak up the Portuguese sun.

You will find the motorways good for driving and well maintained so easy to travel around. Make sure if you are visiting during the summer months then make sure you get air conditioning as it does it get hot!
